Day You Were Born Charts are produced by Countercraft Gifts, who are based in Wrexham, North Wales.

Countercraft Gifts have been producing personalised gifts for over 20 years dating back over 2 decades, when as the name suggests, a small family business started selling personalised gifts and crafts over the counter to customers of all ages.

Originally operating from within visitor attractions in Cheshire and North Wales, children were able to make coloured drawings or messages into a keyring, fridge magnet, ruler or create a spoon puppet.

In order to cater for adults, Countercraft Gifts researched into Family Coat of Arms, First Name and Surname origins and began producing certificates for customers over the shop counter. Each item was proudly taken away as a keepsake or gift and appreciated by all ages.

At around the same time, Day You Were Born Charts were introduced and could be provided for any age from a new born baby, and as far back as 1900. Having the facility to personalise a chart with a recipient’s name and add a personal message in a customer’s own words, made the making of it unique and unlike anything that could be bought on the High Street.

Over the years, the development of technology and advent of “on line” selling, has enabled Countercraft Gifts to be able to offer their Day You Were Born Charts to you on this website and you can be assured that they will be produced with the same care and attention as they were over the counter in days past.

The founder of Countercraft Gifts was born in Lancashire prior to the beginning of World War 2 and knows the value that recalled and shared memories can bring to a person’s wellbeing, so it is in this spirit that we invite you to join us on a trip down memory lane.
